Eksamen - Class Award - Demonstration Class

Did you know that: Passing an Exam from Royal Academy of Dance is Internationally recognized and fullfills the criteria of The Bologna Agreement, meaning that students are credited ECTS, which can be used when applying for an education.

Pre School 1 and 2 can enter with their teacher and demonstrate their skills for the Examiner. Each child can have 2 family members as an audience. When the Demonstration Class is finished the Examiner will personally hand over a Diploma to each student, and the children are happy and proud that they have demonstrated their skills. There is a Danish Pholosopher, Søren Kierkegaard, who says 'Never understimate a child' - and this saying we like at our school.

From Pre Primary and up to Grade 5 students can be entered for Class Award. The students will enter with their teacher who will guide them through the Class Award in front of the  Examiner. Here parents are not allowed, and Diplomas will be handed over with a Medal in the Autumn where we celebrate our students.

From Grade 1-5 it is possible to be entered for either Class Award or Exam. When entering for Exams the students will enter without the teacher. Students will be estimated in technique, musicality and expression/interpretation. Entering for Class Award the teacher will be present guiding the students through  the session. The results will arrive in late August, and we will celebrate our students at an event where we hand over Diplomas and Medals to each student.

Royal Academy of Dance also offer Vocational levels, and here the criteria are set at a higher level. The vocational levels are Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced Foundation, Advanced 1 and Advanced 2. Repertoire was added two Years ago as a one-Year Trial in which our school participated, and it is now a regognized as Vocational levels where the students have to learn one or two soloes from a ballet.
